Comparative analysis of the rights of indigenous nationalities in the Constitutions 1998 – 2008

The objective of this research is to analyze the figure of "indigenous peoples", present in the Ecuadorian constitutions of 1998 and 2008. For which a descriptive method is used under a textual analysis of the theoretical, historical and normative aspects of indigenous peoples through the comparison of the two legal bodies already mentioned, aimed at knowing the legal problems that have arisen throughout history. These have a historical background full of indigenous struggles and mobilizations against the Ecuadorian State, with the sole purpose of recovering their rights, which have been violated throughout history for decades.
