Kidnapping prevention in Babahoyo, Los Ríos: Analysis, police training and citizen participation

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the prevention of kidnapping in Babahoyo, Los Ríos: Analysis, police training and citizen participation. The research was developed from the positivist paradigm and from the quantitative perspective, through the search, collection and critical documentary analysis, bibliographic referential, in this sense, from a bibliographic design of documentary type, the study population, was based basically on written documents such as theses and refereed works, laws. The analytical-synthetic part was based on mentally decomposing the system under study. The inductive-deductive method was also used. It is concluded that kidnapping is a serious problem in the Babahoyo canton, affecting both individuals and communities. The research has provided a detailed description of the situation, identifying risk factors and associated motivations. These findings constitute a solid basis for the design of prevention strategies adapted to the local reality.
