Influence of covid-19 on the economic situation of Riobamba, Ecuador

The research was carried out under the quantitative paradigmatic modality, analyzes how factors of the economic crisis affected the quality of life of the Riobamba population; it is enriched with the contributions of a descriptive methodology based on data collection, explores the impacts in the economic field of the population in Riobamba. As a first point, the material situation generated by the pandemic and related to the daily life of the population is reviewed through an analysis of the economy of the canton; the main problems that this crisis generates in the economic field, as well as in the field of mental health, are pointed out. In a cross-cutting manner, possible scenarios in the area of security are recognized. The general objective of this descriptive research project is to determine the influence of covid-19 on the economic situation of families in Riobamba, at the same time.
