Abstract

Objective: To identify feeding preference adjustment in hamsters. Method: Descriptive observational study. Conclusion: The results of this experiment suggest that the hamster learns to identify the characteristics of the food of its preference, due to its degradation or non-degradation conditions. The hamster evaluated tends to lean towards processed foods (dog food) leaving aside fruits, this is because synthetic food has a more intense and invasive odor which is very susceptible to the hamster, on the other hand fruits They do not produce enough stimulation to be to their liking. We were also able to show that the hamster tends to be overweight because this type of food is rich in carbohydrates, calories, and vitamins.
