The importance of knowing what are the theoretical supports that account for the different techniques that exist to execute this exercise, the biomechanics of its execution and the experiences of high-performance athletes with respect to this exercise. The present study analyzes the biomechanical characteristics of deadlift techniques in high-performance athletes. Methodologically, a literature review was generated with a quantitative contrast of data obtained with 30 high-performance athletes who are registered in the Powerlifting discipline in the Sports Federation of Azuay. Among the main results, it is known that only 34% of athletes have received adequate teaching on deadlift techniques early on, at least 30% of them have suffered an injury during their sports careers and only 40 % of them seek to improve their execution techniques.
