The Andean worldview as a philosophical foundation for initial teacher training in Peru

The purpose of this research was to analyze the integration of the principles of the Andean worldview in teacher training, promoting an inclusive intercultural education respectful of diversity. Methodologically, the study was based on a qualitative documentary approach, through the review of 15 studies, among which 5 of great relevance for the approach of the Andean worldview in teacher training and initial teacher performance were highlighted. As a result, it was pointed out that the Andean worldview has promoted a holistic perspective towards a more humane pedagogy, which has required a continuous training process adjusted to day-to-day realities. In conclusion, the Andean worldview stood out as a philosophical foundation based on the principles of reciprocity, complementarity and balance, thus being valuable for initial teacher training in Peru.
