Resumen

Este artículo explora el impacto y las tendencias de la inteligencia artificial (IA) en la educación superior a través de un estudio bibliográfico de la base de datos Scopus. Se empleó una metodología de revisión documental en tres etapas: un análisis bibliométrico de publicaciones, un análisis temático de los diez artículos más recientes en acceso abierto y la integración de datos con una visión holística del tema. Los hallazgos revelan que la transformación de la educación superior tras la introducción de la IA ha redimensionado la personalización el aprendizaje, la automatización de evaluaciones y la optimización de la gestión universitaria. La adopción de IA en las universidades enfrenta desafíos como: la desigualdad tecnológica, la inadecuada infraestructura y ha puesto en relieve diversas preocupaciones éticas relacionadas con malas prácticas, privacidad y equidad. Los hallazgos proporcionan una base sólida para futuras investigaciones y para la implementación efectiva de IA en contextos educativos
