Abstract

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze electoral financing in the early elections 2023. Ecuador. This research used the quantitative method, which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. Supported by the documentary-bibliographic review. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was used. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. It is concluded that the existence of unequal electoral propaganda with disproportionate expenses, financed by economic elites, allowed the manipulation of the vote and therefore affected the democratic principles of elections, such as equality of conditions between candidates. In order to avoid such a situation, since the return to democracy, it was considered to provide political organizations with economic autonomy with state resources, for which public financing was created.
