The purpose of punishment and the social rehabilitation service for persons deprived of their liberty

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the purpose of the sentence and the social rehabilitation service for those deprived of liberty. The method used in the research was based on the qualitative approach, using the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology. The research technique used was the interview. An analytical-reflexive process was generated. It is concluded that social rehabilitation was found to suffer from shortcomings due to the poor administration of the prison, but there is compliance with the sentence and at the same time there is the inconvenience that there is no rehabilitation as such since it does not have adequate staff to help the prisoner in their treatment, for this reason an analysis should be made of the public policies of social rehabilitation that protects the right established in the legal regulations.
