Abstract

The general objective was to legally analyze the violation of the no-contact principle of the voluntary indigenous peoples of the Amazon region, Ecuador. The methodology developed is based on the quantitative approach, resorting to the documentary-bibliographic typology, which allowed establishing the analysis of the object of study, with the purpose of describing the topic addressed. In addition, the analytical-synthetic method is used jointly. The material approached consisted of degree theses, laws, norms and refereed works. In addition, a survey was applied to the legal professionals of the Salcedo canton, Province of Cotopaxi, in order to obtain useful information that, from their professional criteria, could contribute to the scientific article under development. It is concluded that the uncontacted indigenous peoples have a value of greater importance at a patrimonial level, far beyond the economic, since it is a spiritual, familiar, anthropological, historical entity to defend their territory.
