Abstract

Objective: To identify the type of therapeutic accompaniment that people receive in the face of bereavement with a cat. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: The loss of a cat can trigger a deep and complex grief, which requires specialized therapeutic support sensitive to the particularities of the human-animal bond. This analysis underscores the importance of validating grief, recognizing ongoing bonds, and adapting coping strategies to the individual and cultural needs of the bereaved. Recognizing and effectively addressing cat bereavement is essential to providing genuine and compassionate support to those facing this experience.
