Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the application of relaxation therapy through music therapy in students of the UNIANDES University, in order to reduce their anxiety levels. Method: Quasi-experimental study, a sample of 33 participants was selected. Conclusion: It was determined that there are significant statistical differences, when performing the Student's t-test in the SPSS program, in the psychic dimension with a significance level of p<0.044 and in the somatic dimension with a p<0.05. Therefore, it can be said that there is a significant difference and that patients with anxiety who received the treatment, in this case relaxation therapy, present a decrease in their anxiety levels, making the treatment effective.
