Gamificación as a formative evaluation strategy in students of the software career

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze how gamification can be used as a formative evaluation strategy for students of the Software career at the Catholic University of Cuenca. To obtain the data, a descriptive research was conducted under a non-experimental design, the data was collected, analyzed and interpreted, inferring in a descriptive statistical analysis performed in SPSS, the cohort of this research was transversal, this educational proposal arose because university students require motivation when being evaluated, it is necessary to make changes in educational practice not only when evaluating but in the various learning spaces, which will allow us to aim at a relevant and long-term training.
