Mango nutritional benefits and food security. A look from didactic strategies

The objective of this research was to analyze the nutritional benefits of mango and its contribution to food security in students and families, through the use of didactic strategies relevant to the community training process, to enhance academic performance, in order to lead an active and healthy life. A qualitative methodology with phenomenological design was used, with the participation of 10 students and 10 parents. Consequently, the constant unit was used to organize the data obtained, then an open coding was carried out followed by an axial coding describing the experiences of those involved leading to the construction of analytical memos. Finally, a seminar-workshop was carried out to make known the nutritional benefits of mangoes. It is concluded that through the didactic teaching-learning strategies used, the nutritional benefits of mango and its contribution to food security were made known, generating healthy eating habits.
