The objective was to analyze the relationship between environmental awareness strategies and the conservation of the Rodadero beach in hoteliers, street vendors and merchants for a pollution-free environment. Based on a quantitative methodology through a non-experimental research type of correlational design, the questionnaire instrument was applied to a sample of 194 beach residents. The main findings were that 83.3% of the people surveyed considered that the environmental problems related to solid waste pollution on the beaches of El Rodadero are due to a lack of citizen awareness on the part of residents and visitors. In general terms, it was concluded that awareness-raising strategies such as communication and outreach strategies, encourage people to reflect on how they treat natural resources.
