Abstract

The importance of having certain data at hand in order to manage and interact with it can become crucial when taking actions. The general objective of this article is to design a meteorological station for monitoring cocoa plantations, in this way it will be possible to have the data in real time to be able to generate an early phytosanitary alarm of the "monilla" pathogen present in the Amazonian cocoa sub Ecuadorian tropics. The integration of the RS-232 and PHP communication protocols are essential to be able to generate correct communication between devices and upload information. All this in order to generate an early phytosanitary warning about the presence of the "monilla" pest characterized by means of climatic variables (humidity, temperature, precipitation) collected by the weather station located next to the cocoa plots.
