Effect of relative age in the Judo

Studies show that the RAE affects the formation of teams and sports results, the advantage that athletes born in the first months of the year present, can trigger incentives for potential talents, on the other hand, segregation and desertion in athletes born in the last months. This research aims to determine the incidence of the month of birth, in the locations obtained in National Games of Ecuador in the period 2011 - 2019, of the sport Judo. The research has a quantitative approach, of a non-experimental type, with direct longitudinal cut data, the variables month of birth, location, category are analyzed; using descriptive statistics of an observational type. It was found that the best results have been obtained by athletes born in the first months of the year; however, the differences recorded are not statistically significant. In national judo there is no evidence of a marked incidence of RAE.
