Proposal of criteria for the selection of talents in sports climbing

The objective is to establish the criteria for selecting talents in sport climbing, to determine the necessary conditions that a sport climber must have. The bibliographic and systematic review of the documents that analyze the selection processes of high-performance athletes was used, as well as the basic criteria within sport climbing. The selection of talents is based on the identification of the physical and technical capacities that children and young people possess and that can be used within sport climbing, since in this discipline an official tool was not found to select talents. The proposal addresses a series of physical, physiological and technical analyzes that allow identifying a talent within sport climbing.
