Illegal practice, legal regime and public policies in facial rejuvenation procedures with tensor threads

Abstract

The increase in disfiguring facial injuries represents a challenge for reconstructive physicians. Being a problem the illegal practice and use of tensor threads in aesthetic procedures. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze the paucity of public policies of adoption for the regulations in charge of the State, in the preparation, control and adequate certification of people who offer aesthetic services, and, in the illegal practice of beautifying surgical services with Tensioning wires. Methodologically, we carry out a descriptive investigation with analysis of national and international documentation. The results denote adequate legislation on authorized establishments and doctors in aesthetic procedures, as well as mechanisms against intrusion. Concluding, that primarily, the damages born in the aesthetic illegality, facilitated by the lack of effectiveness in the surveillance, inspection and control, which leads to a responsibility of the State before the omission in the fulfillment of these functions established in the Constitution.
