Implosion of external ATMs of the Ecuadorian financial system due to criminal action by organized groups

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the implosion of external ATMs of the Ecuadorian financial system by criminal action of organized groups. The method used in the research was based on the qualitative approach, handling the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology. The research technique applied was the interview, which was applied to four key informants, generating an analytical-reflexive process. It is concluded that the acts perpetrated under this modality in Ecuadorian territory have commonly been planned by organizations and citizens of foreign origin, according to the evidence documented by the security specialists of some financial institutions and SIDPRO-BAC of the national police, which would imply that the modus operandi is not yet the absolute domain of national gangs.
