Causes of the increase in crime, Milagro, Ecuador

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the causes of the increase in crime in Milagro, Ecuador. The present research used the quantitative method which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. Supported by the documentary-bibliographic review. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was applied. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. It is concluded that the attention to citizen security and peaceful coexistence requires the joint treatment of all the factors that increase delinquency, which must be considered in a co-responsible manner between the different State agencies and citizen participation. However, this treatment of the risk factors of crime is difficult, since there is no single number or quantity of them.
