Abstract

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the criminogenic factors in the rehabilitation of persons convicted of femicide in Ecuador. The present research used the quantitative method, which produces descriptive data that originate from data collection. It was supported by the documentary-bibliographic review of refereed articles, laws and norms. In addition, the inductive-deductive method is applied. The analytical-synthetic method is also used. It is concluded that the main characteristic that distinguishes the criminogenic factors associated with the crime of femicide in Bolivar Province is that it is produced mostly by the husbands, that the femicides come from dysfunctional families, problematic due to physical and psychological violence, that they suffer from psychiatric disorders such as antisocial, schizophrenia, schizotypal and paranoid, and that they have received a patriarchal education in their family systems of origin.
