Domestic violence and its impact on women in the Chorillo neighborhood, Babahoyo

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze domestic violence and its impact on women in the Chorillo neighborhood, Babahoyo. The research was developed from the positivist paradigm and from the quantitative perspective, through the search, collection and critical documentary analysis, bibliographic referential, in this sense, from a bibliographic design of documentary type, the study population was based basically on written documents such as theses and refereed works, laws. The analytical-synthetic part was based on mentally decomposing the system under study. The inductive-deductive method was also used. It is concluded that it is important to emphasize that some women and men who have suffered some type of domestic violence did receive help from their families, in fact, this demonstrates the important role that the family plays during the whole process that may occur when there is a case of domestic violence against a family member.
