Infringement of the right to truth in the Guachalá Chimbo vs. Ecuador case

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the violation of the right to truth in the Guachalá Chimbo versus Ecuador case. The qualitative approach was developed as a method, and several bibliographic sources were used in order to obtain real and updated information to achieve the objective of the legal problem under analysis. The research technique applied was the interview, with five questions, combining open and closed questions, applied to experts in constitutional matters and free practice law professionals of the province of Pastaza, in order to gather information. It is concluded that the autonomy of the right to truth should be appreciated as the power to go to justice to demand it at any time being key to avoid impunity, besides the fact that the recognition of truth seeks to restore harmony both in the individual and collective conscience, and legal order.
