Subpoena by e-mail and procedural agility in Ecuador

In Ecuador there are rules that still continue to violate the law, such as the subpoena, which as we know causes important legal effects for the initiation of the process. The objectives of this research are oriented to characterize the forms of citation and possible solutions obtained in different contexts. For this purpose, a descriptive- bibliographic research of articles related to the subject was carried out, choosing 10 articles, from which the information for the statistical analysis was obtained. Specific cases were characterized, of how to cite correctly in Ecuador, specifically in the civil field. In the legal analysis, it was established that the legislation is very scarce regarding this practice. In the discussion, the arguments of the authors were in favor of establishing a reform bill to the forms of citation, incorporating the citation by electronic means, especially through e-mail.
