Humanitarian support law: A violation of the principle of progressive rights

The research seeks to analyze the violation of the constitutional principle of progressivity, which is evidenced in the Organic Law of humanitarian support, 2020, approved by the National Assembly of Ecuador; This in the sense that any norm that is intended to be approved by the Assembly or any other body with normative power, must necessarily be in complete accordance with the rights and guarantees established in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, 2008. The methodological development includes a type of descriptive documentary research. The principle of progressivity assumes that rights are progressive, in the sense that they can be maintained, expanded, but not reduced; The humanitarian support law, promulgated in the midst of a state of exception, affects labor rights and achievements that have taken centuries to consolidate, such as rights and guarantees within Ecuadorian legislation.
