Acupuncture as a treatment for medical students with Burnout Syndrome

Objective: To determine the efficacy of acupuncture as a treatment for burnout syndrome in medical students. Method: A thorough qualitative literature review was conducted in search of information from indexed journals such as Scielo, Elsevier, Redalyc, and ScienceDirect. Results and conclusions: The human being is a highly complex biological being, made up of organs and systems that are integrated and dynamically interconnected with their external and internal environment; if it is modified, it affects and changes everything, each one of the parts is transformed. The way in which stress affects academic performance is detrimental for medical students, because it generates a lack of interest in completing tasks, lack of concentration, difficulty taking exams, not understanding the topics that are addressed in classes and in lectures. different activities between partners; One of the consequences of burnout syndrome is to alter the student's life balance.
