Abstract

Technological waste has become a health problem for the environment and public health, given the lack of knowledge that exists on the part of users amid the obsolescence and/or withdrawal of use of technological equipment. Based on this premise, this article assessed the environmental impact of technological waste to motivate people to reduce, recycle and reuse technological waste. To do this, a descriptive- correlational and non-experimental methodology was followed. The population was made up of 10 companies that provide technological services in the canton of Jipijapa. The instrument was a lickert questionnaire with 3 answer alternatives and for its application the survey technique was used. The analysis of the data was carried out through the descriptive statistics and the results obtained indicated that 80% of the technological waste generated by companies is deposited in residential waste. Its findings showed that there is inefficiency in the management of technological waste by companies to reduce, recycle and reuse technological waste.
