Adolescent childbearing in relation to school dropout

Objective: To analyze motherhood in adolescence in relation to school dropout. Method: Descriptive documentary, 15 articles published in PubMed, Scopus were reviewed. Conclusion: Adolescent motherhood continues to be a determining factor in school dropout, significantly affecting the academic development and future opportunities of young women. Despite efforts to implement support programs in the educational environment, the lack of access to adequate resources, gender violence and unfavorable socioeconomic conditions perpetuate this problem.
