Side effects of COVID-19 vaccine in patients. Ambato, Ecuador

Abstract

Objective: To know the side effects in people caused by the COVID19 vaccine. Method: observational descriptive. Results: 2.44% (n=4) of women chose the first dose, 23.78% (n=39) of women chose the second dose, 60.37% (n=99) chose the third dose and 13.41% (n=22) chose the fourth dose. No statistically significant differences were found (p >0.05). Conclusion: When the COVID-19 vaccine (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinovac, etc.) is administered, it can cause several adverse effects such as headache, muscle, joint or injection site pain, tiredness, chills, fever and swelling at the injection site, nausea, but it was also analyzed that not all people can present symptoms.
