Abstract

Objective: To determine the risk factors that may trigger infection in people suffering from pressure ulcers and to contribute to the prevention of these infections. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Conclusion: It can be seen that 65% of the population has not received information or does not remember what a pressure ulcer is and how to act in the event of an infection as well as 100% do not know the degrees of PPU due to lack of health information, which is required to prevent and care for the patient, On the other hand, when changing position, 45% of the patients are concerned about changing their position every two to three hours for greater comfort and at the same time do not tend to scald the skin, accompanied by massages around the infected area with moisturizing products that are not allergic to the patient's skin.
