Statistical study of the influence of personality traits on academic performance

Since low performance was observed in the students of the School of Statistics of the National University of Piura (UNP), the objective of this study was to determine the influence of personality traits on academic performance in students of this institution during the period 2020-I. The research was carried out under the quantitative paradigm, considering a correlational level, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design. The population consisted of 249 students and the sample consisted of 79 students enrolled in the school. For data collection, the Cattell Personality Questionnaire and documentary review were used. Among the conclusions, it stands out that there is an influence of personality traits on the academic performance of the group of students mentioned.
