Environmental Pollution and its Effects on Public Health

The objective is to analyze environmental pollution and its effects on public health. A descriptive documentary research with bibliographic design was used, in a population of 25 scientific articles located in databases: PubMed, Scopus, WOS, Scielo. Epidemiological studies have found that transport noise increases the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, with high quality evidence for ischemic heart disease. A large part of the world's population continues to live in areas with poor air quality and, due to changes in combustion technology, fuel and industrial production, toxic air pollution may be affected, as well as human exposure
