Childhood: instrument for the safeguarding of the culture of San Basilio de Palenque

Abstract

The work is a bibliographic analytical study, its objective is to analyze childhood as an instrument to safeguard the culture of San Basilio de Palenque. In this sense, the culture influences in an important way in any person, but more in the child since he is the receiver of the information around him, he is being molded by a society, family or other people that accompany him in his process of raising, schools have also contributed since childhood to the building of the spirit of reflection on their own, allowing rethinking the community feeling, reassessing cultural elements, aware of the meaning of protecting the autonomy of Afro-descendant communities. Hence the importance that the teachers of San Basilio de Palenque as actors of culture, are children of that land with professional training so that educational processes do not go against the interests of the community.
