Abstract

The objective is to determine how teachers institute the rescue of the culture of their locality, establishing how much they know about it and how they impart it to their students, since they are not only looking for the development of cognitive and socioemotional skills, but rather to contribute to the formation of people in all its dimensions; The present work is of a qualitative type with a transectional approach. For the field study, surveys were used, showing that several teachers of the educational unit do not know the traditions of the Canton, which led to the conclusion that the rescue of cultural traditions should be a fundamental part of the educational institutions through the use of school projects, since it provided a lasting learning process, promoting cognitive, procedural and attitudinal development.
