Abstract

In the educational field, food is an aspect that influences the academic performance of boys and girls; In this case, the objective of the work is to analyze the incidence of the nutritional diet in the academic performance of children between 6 and 8 years of age of the Bilingual Intercultural Community Educational Center in the El Tejar community of the Quingeo parish; which was carried out under the methodology of a descriptive - analytical study, applying surveys to families and compiling information regarding diet and eating habits. Resulting in that families do not provide a balanced diet, nor do they present good eating practices; fact that is visible in the academic performance of students, being a political and social problem. Then, the need to implement a nutritional education project for families is foreseen, where improvement processes are activated and food sovereignty is sustained.
