Information systems and their impact on the procurement process

The purpose of the article is to analyze the importance of Information Systems, in the different processes that are carried out in the Provincial Decentralized Autonomous Government of Morona Santiago in the Technology and Information Area (ICTs). The research was qualitative to solve the problem of incidents that occur in the Provincial GAD for the acquisition of goods with the implementation and use of Information Systems. For the purposes of the results, a bibliographic review was carried out, collecting basic and relevant information on the use of information technologies, concluding that, in the study, the results obtained cannot be generalized for all the Provincial GADs of Ecuador. Applying the Anova analysis, we can conclude that both employees and managers are not synchronized with the acquisition processes, often making mistakes or performing redundant activities.
