Abstract

The general objective of the research was to explain educational management and teacher performance: Improving student learning in the mathematics area. The research was based on a qualitative approach and used a documentary-bibliographic typology. The organization of an analysis of the object of study and the creation of an analytical-reflexive process contributed to the expansion of the state of the art in relation to the topic addressed. A hermeneutic orientation was also adopted, which helped the interpretation and analysis of the qualitative foundations, searching for the meaning of the object studied, according to the researchers' position. It is concluded that educational management is an aspect of great importance when thinking about building quality education. Assuming this kind of leadership helps to make innovations as part of quality reforms in education systems, which must be implemented immediately
