The objective is to evaluate the management of avian influenza diagnosis and migratory birds identify in the province of Granma. The statistical records of the Animal Health department of the Ministry of Agriculture were reviewed. The study population included the poultry species recorded in the province (n=1742 535). Biosecurity was evaluated in compliance with disaster plans and the Avian Influenza control program. In addition, the main species of migratory birds were identified, for which the methodology of the epizootic surveillance system in the country was used, based on the territorial analysis of the threat of risk and vulnerability at capture points. The main species of migratory birds were identified, and it was determined that despite the adequate management of the diagnosis and control of avian influenza, there are gaps that could enable the penetration of diseases.
