The impact of bullying on the psychological development of children and adolescents

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the effect of bullying on the psychological development of children and adolescents. The methodology was based on the quantitative approach, in addition to the use of several bibliographic and documentary sources in order to obtain real and relevant information and achieve the objective set in relation to the legal problem under study. In this case, the research technique applied was the review of texts, theses, doctrine and norms in relation to the affectation of bullying. It is concluded that bullying is known as mistreatment and aggression towards children and adolescents. Therefore, in Ecuador the rights of children and adolescents are guaranteed, however, these regulations are ignored because many children and adolescents do not realize that they are hurting the other person and commit behaviors of aggression and abuse towards their peers.
