Public policies aimed at Ecuador's indigenous population to eradicate violence against women

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze public policies aimed at the Ecuadorian indigenous population to eradicate violence against women. The quantitative method was used, which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. It was supported by the documentary-bibliographic review. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was applied. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. It is concluded that gender violence is present in Ecuadorian society, and indigenous populations are not the exception, on the contrary, indigenous women are part of a very special group of protection because they are subjected to a multiple condition of violation, due to the fact of being women, indigenous, and belonging to a group of economically dispossessed, i.e., they are poor.
