Abstract

The general objective of the research was to legally analyse pre-trial detention in sexual offences and its impact on the integrity of the victim. The present research used the quantitative method which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. It was based on a documentary-bibliographic review. The inductive-deductive method was also used. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. It is concluded that it should be taken into account that, in the trial of sexual crimes, the law provides for specialised judges and prosecutors during the procedural stages, there is even a special type of procedure for certain crimes of sexual violence, and even the evaluation of the evidence is different because it should contain a gender perspective, without stigmas or stereotypes that replicate the patriarchal model, which is mostly used in the country.
