Abstract

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the historical evolution of human rights: from natural rights to international instruments. The approach taken by the researchers for the development of the method was based on the quantitative approach, through inquiry, collection and critical documentary and bibliographic reference analysis, based on the methodical, rigorous and deep exploration of various documentary sources consisting of articles, theses, rules and laws, among others, describing the findings. Documentary review was used as a research technique. The inductive-deductive method was also used. It is concluded that the historical evolution of human rights has been a complex and gradual process that has taken place over centuries. From the conception of natural rights in ancient Greece and Rome, to the adoption of international human rights instruments in the 20th century.
