For this research, the researchers proposed for the development of the methodology, the positivist paradigm with quantitative approach, through the inquiry, collection and critical documentary analysis and bibliographic reference, based on the methodical, rigorous and deep exploration of various documentary sources consisting of articles, rules and laws, theses, among others, describing the findings. In the research, the documentary-bibliographic review was used as a technique. It is concluded that, after more than a decade of having recognized nature as a subject of rights, Ecuador persists in the purpose that this is a viable alternative to solve one of the severe problems that the world has, the degradation of the planet. It has been possible to verify that, in effect, there has been a realization of the rights of nature in recent years.
