Femicide and violence against women during the covid-19 health emergency in Ecuador

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze femicide and violence against women during the covid-19 health emergency in Ecuador. It was developed from the positivist paradigm, from the quantitative perspective, through the search, collection and critical documentary analysis, bibliographic reference in this sense, from a bibliographic design of documentary type, the researchers conducted a research process where the study population was based basically on documents such as theses, laws, regulations and scientific articles; to analyze the writings related to the topic, the content analysis of the information collected was considered, which allowed the formulation of results. In addition, an online survey was applied. It is concluded that the measures taken in this quarantine to avoid contagion between people are opportune to save their lives, but it has also been evidenced that it has affected the coexistence of women with their aggressors.
