Independence and impartiality of the judiciary and the fight against corruption

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the independence and impartiality of the judiciary and the fight against corruption. The approach taken by the researchers for the development of the method was based on the quantitative approach, through inquiry, collection and critical analysis of documents and bibliographic references, based on the methodical, rigorous and in-depth exploration of various documentary sources consisting of articles, theses, regulations and laws, among others, describing the findings. Documentary review was used as a technique. The inductive-deductive method was also used. In conclusion, in order to strengthen the role of the Judiciary in the fight against corruption, measures are required to promote judicial independence, allocate adequate resources, protect witnesses and whistleblowers, and encourage inter-institutional cooperation.
