Abstract

Objective: to analyze the risk factors of sexually transmitted infections in university students in students from the first to third semester of the nursing career at UNIANDES, Tulcán campus. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: 12% acknowledge that they have a stable partner, and most of these with 88% have partners occasionally, so they could be more likely to contract STIs from sexual practices with several partners that they carry within their sexual life This is how this group of students may need training and information. Conclusion: Sexually transmitted infections are spreading in the world and constitute the most frequent morbidity among adolescents worldwide. These have as their own characteristics the lack of impulse control, emotional ambivalence, emotional and behavioral changes.
