Abstract

Objective: Describing physical therapy in hip dysplasia and its essential role in orthopedic therapy. Method: Documentary research design. We proceeded to review peer-reviewed scientific journals related to the research topic, which constituted the study population. Exclusion and inclusion criteria were applied to these journals. Results: It can affect children as well as young adults and mature adults, and if not treated appropriately. Conclusion: A multidisciplinary approach to physical therapy is essential for the comprehensive management of hip dysplasia. Collaboration between physical therapists, orthopedic physicians, occupational therapists and psychologists ensures that not only the physical aspects of the condition, but also the emotional and social aspects are addressed.
