Risks of cerebrovascular deseases

Objective: To analyze the risks of cerebrovascular disease. Method: Descriptive documentary study, 17 scientific articles published in PubMed were reviewed. Conclusion: Ischemic stroke represents a significant public health challenge, given its impact on morbidity and mortality worldwide. Risk factors, such as atrial fibrillation, hypertension and hormonal alterations, are key determinants in its development, especially in vulnerable populations such as women and older adults. Comprehensive care, including early intervention and specialized management by nursing staff, is presented as an effective strategy to reduce complications and improve clinical outcomes in stroke patients.
