Social determinants of health and their influence on quality of life in Ecuador

Objective: It was to analyse the social determinants of health and their influence on the quality of life in Ecuador. Method: It was based on the quantitative approach, resorting to the documentary-bibliographic typology, which allows the analysis of the object of study to be established. The material approached was made up of scientific research, refereed works and thus discovering characteristics. Results: People living in poverty are more likely to develop chronic diseases and have less access to adequate medical treatment.In conclusion: To understand public health and the quality of life of its inhabitants in Ecuador, it is essential to consider the social determinants of health. To address health inequities, a multi-sectoral approach is necessary because of the connections between economic, social and demographic factors
